  6. Here's how to make a Diablo 2 backup CD:

  8. 1.Use CloneCD and copy the CDs with these on these Reading options: Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks Read Subchannel Data from Audio Tracks

  10. 2.Get Daemon Tools (www.daemon-tools.com) and while DTs in ur tray put on the emualtion option securom on. U have to have this on while playing D2.

  12. Now u ur backup CD should be recognised as a real one. It worked for me.

You are partially right. Use CloneCD and read both subchannels. Then just burn the image and select "don't repair subchannel data". This will make a perfect copy that will work in almost any drive, any OS (yes Windows ME). Keep in mind that your burner has to support writing subchannel data for this to work... Plextor, Sony, Acer(some) are a few... Thanks, Happy gaming...

Guys really... ANY cd copier (i.e. Discjuggler, Blindcopy, CloneCD, etc...) that can read subchannels and not repair them can copy D2 and any other copyright protected CDs... and you dont need these other programs... The other "programs" only help if you have an ornary CD burner or OS... Just try them all and see which works best for your own personal setup...

I made 3 folder one Called Install,Play,Cinematics Copied each cd into each folder Install to Install,play into play,Cinematics into Cinematics Using war goblin check marks into CloneCD Then i used the Daemon securom to mount the play disk.(Im using CloneCD 4.0.1.6)In the Play Folder I made.Then i open CloneCD again and click on the Virtual drive I said read and copied it to a file called TEST.I unmounted the drive took off the securerom and rebooted my system.2nd I mounted the Install disk that was in the Install Folder Open CloneCD and click on the Virtual drive and said read and copied that into a File called TEST-1 (Remember this to mount the program you have to click on the folder say play.ccd that was copied into the play folder)So i went to the TEST folder which had the play file in it and copied it.Did the same thing with TEST-1 folder where i had the Install disk and copied it. So what i did was copied an image file and made an image file in the tests folder with no protection.The 3rd cd cinematics you just copy it when you first made it with CloneCD(do not mount it)The version of Diablo2 i used was Version 1.07 US. The Expansion set version was 1.07 i copied it the same way that i did cd1 and cd 2 Mounting it and then Read to a Test-2 folder Then coping it

OMG your all freakin retards, if your burner supports sub chanel reading, which is rare, only very expensive burners like plextor have this, then you dont need anything other than burning a cd , for the rest of us who arent rich, you burn the cd without subchannel reading, (because you cant) and then get a hack for secure rom like deamon tools, got it?

  40. even if you make a perfect copy, eg with clonecd, discjuggler, etc.... it won't work in a cdr/cdrw drive because the game will detect that you're using a burnt disc and it won't work. there are also many cheap drives out there nowadays that can read/write both subchannels (eg.. liteon, lg)
